ASPA advocates on behalf of Alabama PAs by by monitoring state and federal regulations and legislation to promote the interests of the profession.
ASPA keeps members informed through its website, email blasts and personal communication.
ASPA provides quality continuing medical education to members and enrichment opportunities for students.
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
FELLOW
A physician assistant who is a graduate of a physician or surgical physician assistant program approved by ARC-PA or its successor agency. Must be a fellow member of AAPA.
Membership fee (yearly): $150
AFFILIATE
Same as fellow member except AAPA membership is not required.
Membership fee (yearly): $150
MILITARY
Must be active duty military personnel
Membership fee (yearly): $20
STUDENT
An individual who is enrolled in an ARC-PA appproved physician or surgical physician assistant program. SAAAPA membership not required.
Membership fee (yearly): $20 (one time fee valid until student graduates) or free if you are an AAPA member
Keep in mind that many employers will pay professional fees. Ask the appropriate personnel manager if you are eligible for reimbursement.

Individuals can join ASPA by completing the application and forwarding dues and application to the address on the form.
Online:
Complete the form and pay online.
Student
Complete the student form and submit online.
RENEW
Renewal reminders are mailed December 1 to your address of record. If you did not receive a renewal form send us an email and we will generate another form for you.
